Sticks and stones...
"Sloe gin fizz" was a nice name. (Never tried the drink, tho.) "Slow comfortable screw" sounds as if the name-maker worked so hard that the drink itself is probably not very good.
And why are they called boat drinks?
A sickeningly sweet drink with lots of chunks of fruit in it seems like a poor choice to give a seasick newbie who just embarked in a gently rocking cruise ship. If the bartender were a sadist, that might explain it.
